SC dismisses PPP candidate’s appeal against disqualification from NA-151

KHANEWAL (92 News) – The Supreme Court on Monday dismissed an appeal that called for nullifying the disqualification of PPP leader Humayun Khan. Hamyun was contesting for Khanewal’s NA-151. An election tribunal had disqualified him for being a defaulter of a social security company. During the hearing, Justice Ijazul Ahsan remarked that Khan's disqualification was not for life, adding If he pays the dues, he can be qualified to contest the election. He upheld the tribunal’s decision and rejected Khan’s appeal over defaulter of Rs1.3 million.
