SC dismisses Talal Ch’s intra court appeal, upholds his disqualification

ISLAMABAD (92 news) – A five-member larger bench of the Supreme Court has dismissed the intra court appeal of PML-N leader Talal Ch and upheld his disqualification for five years in the contempt of court case. Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar remarked that whom Talal Ch is terming PCO idols. “Is Talal Ch an iconoclast? Are we doing injustice here?” he questioned. He said how much the court can be scandalized more than it. The CJP asked Talal Ch to call Nawaz Sharif to oust the PCO judges. “Can he (Nawaz) oust us?” he remarked. In the beginning of the hearing, the clip of Talal Ch’s speech was played. Justice Ejazul Hassan remarked that every act has its results and price. “A politician knows what will be consequence of his words,” he said. During the hearing, Talal Ch’s counsel objected to hearing of the case by the CJP. However, the larger bench rejected the plea.
