SC extends 6 more weeks to conclude references against Sharifs

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Supreme Court has extended the period of accountability court Islamabad by six weeks to conclude Flagship investment and Al-Azizya Steel Mills references against former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his family members. A three member bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar heard the petition on Monday seeking extension in time of accountability court to conclude the two references. Nawaz Sharif’s consul Khawaja Harris seeks extension to the duration of cases till December 15. However, the court rejected his appeal and ordered to conclude the cases in six weeks. It's not our duty to regulate the NAB court's proceedings. You feel bad when proposed to present arguments on Saturday, the chief justice remarked during the hearing.
