SC forms six-member JIT to probe into money laundering issue

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Supreme Court has formed a six-member team joint investigation team (JIT) to probe into the issue of money laundering through fake accounts. FIA Additional Director Ihsan Sadiq will head the JIT. The court had ordered to form the JIT on September 5. The JIT will include the representatives of the SECP, the FBR and the SBP. All administrative institutions will assist the JIT. The JIT will submit its report after each 15 days. Meanwhile, the SC has barred the JIT from providing information to the media about the investigations. The court has also ordered the Rangers to provide security to the JIT members and witnesses.
