ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Supreme Court of Pakistan has ordered the IGP Sindh to arrest former Malir SSP Rao Anwaar in the Naqeebullah murder case. The court questioned the IGP about the efforts made for the arrest of Rao Anwaar. “Has someone else hid Rao Anwaar?” it questioned. The IGP told the court that he made all-out efforts, but he could not be arrested. The court asked the IGP Sindh to take an oath from the owners of private planes that he has not flown by their planes. The CJP has also sought details of Rao Anwaar’s journeys abroad. The father of Naqeebullah appealed to the CJP to provide him justice. He also prayed to the court form the judicial commission for investigations. The CJP remarked that the judicial commission is not a solution to the issue. “Naqeebullah is our child and cannot allow anyone to kill him. There are good officers in the police. You should rely on the JIT and the IGP,” he said. The court will resume hearing on Thursday.
