SC grants bail to Khurshid Shah in assets beyond means case

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Supreme Court granted bail to PPP leader Khurshid Shah in the assets beyond means case on Thursday.

A two-member bench headed by Justice Umar Atta Bandial heard the bail plea. The court ordered to release him after furnishing surety bonds worth Rs 10 million.

Khurshid Shah and his family face the charges of illegally getting assets worth Rs 1.23 billion. Khurshid Shah, his son MPA Furrukh Shah and Awais Shah have been nominated in the reference. MPA Furrukh Shah was arrested a few days back and shifted to jail.

On September 18, 2019, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had arrested Khurshid Shah. After 90-day custody in the NAB, he was shifted to Central Jail.
