SC had to intervene due to shortcomings of institutions: CJ Saqib Nisar

SUKKUR (92 News) – Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar has said that the Supreme Court had to intervene due to faults of the institutions. Addressing the Sukkur Bar Association on Friday, he said that no one should consider himself to be victimized through suo motu notices. “One of our sectors is working on the judicial reforms. We are striving for improvement in this regard,” he maintained. The CJP said that the people should respect the returning officers. He said that it is responsibility of the state to provide facilities to the masses. “Other countries made progress due to the education system,” he said. He claimed that the problems being faced by Manchar Lake had been resolved. Earlier, he visited different departments of Civil Hospital and received information about the facilities being provided to patients. He expressed his indignation at the arrangements and unavailability of a ventilator in hospital. The MS complained about shortage of the manpower.
