SC to hear Panama leaks case on November 1

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Supreme Court has on Friday declared November 1 date to hear petitions regarding Panama leaks case. The apex court directed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, his family and others to submit their reply to the notices issued before November 1. Earlier, the apex court issued notice to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and others in the Panama leaks case, acting on petitions seeking his disqualification over alleged corruption and illegally possessing assets abroad. A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali and comprising Justice Ijazul Ahsan and Justice Khilji Arif Hussain heard the petitions filed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Jamaat-i-Islami (JI), Awami Muslim (AML) Chief Sheikh Rashid. The court issued notices to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz, his sons Hasan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz, son-in-law Captain (r) Safdar, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Director General Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman, and the Attorney General in the Panama leaks case. The court further adjourned the hearing for two weeks.
