SC to hear Shah Rukh Jatoi case on January 31

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Supreme Court of Pakistan will hear the Shah Rukh Jatoi case on January 31. CJP Saqib Nisar will head the three-member bench, while Justice Asif Saeed Khosa and Justice Maqbool Baqar will be its members. The court has already issued notices to the accused, including Shah Rukh Jatoi. Prosecutor General Sindh, deputy attorney general and Barrister Faisal Siddiqui have been issued notices. The civil society had appealed against the deletion of ATA sections from the key case. The anti-terrorism case had awarded death sentence to two accused, including Shah Rukh Jatoi, and life term to co-accused. However, the Sindh High Court had nullified their sentence and deleted the ATA sections. The accused are on bail.
