SC issues contempt of court notice to Daniyal Aziz

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) has on Friday issued contempt of court notice to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and Federal Minister for Privatization Daniyal Aziz. The federal minister has been ordered to appear before the court on February 7 (Wednesday). Daniyal Aziz has been issued the notice over his remarks about the court. On the other hand, The Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Mian Saqib Nisar had formed a three-member bench headed by Justice Ijaz Afzal Khan to hear contempt of court case against Talal Chaudhry on Tuesday. Earlier, the CJP had taken notice of Minister of State Talal Chaudhry’s remarks about the Supreme Court and issued him a contempt of court notice. The minister of state has been ordered to appear before the court on February 6 (Tuesday). Talal Chaudhry had been issued the notice over his remarks about the court in his January 27 speech in Jaranwala. Earlier, PML-N leaders Siddiqul Farooq and Nehal Hashmi were also sent notices by the court for passing insulting remarks.
