KARACHI (92 News) – The Supreme Court Karachi Registry has ordered the KDA DG to vacate 35,000 China-cutting plots within two months. Hearing the welfare plots occupation case on Wednesday, Justice Gulzar Ahmed expressed his anger with the anti-encroachment cell. He remarked that they knew what sort of job the anti-encroachment cell is doing. The court observed that the vacant state land is not to sell to politicians, government officials and their relatives. “The land has been spared to facilitate the people,” he said. The court questioned that how a wall adjacent to the historic Mehta Palace was constructed. The KDA DG expressed his ignorance about the construction of the wall. The court also ordered to give the plot to the petitioner in two weeks.
