SC orders removal of grid station constructed on green belt in Karachi

KARACHI (92 News) – The Supreme Court of Pakistan has ordered removal of a grid station that was constructed on a green belt within two months.

Hearing the case at Karachi Registry on Thursday, Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed remarked that they cannot allow the commercial use of the green belt.

He directed the KMC authorities to restore the green belt. He ordered immediate removal of illegal constructions in the city.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court accepted the applications against the High Court verdict regarding regularization of contractual employees of above BS-16 without the examinations of the Punjab Public Service Commission.
