SC orders to announce verdict on Al-Azizia, Flagship references by Dec 24

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Supreme Court of Pakistan has ordered Accountability Court Judge Arshad Malik to announce the verdict on the Al-Azizia and Flagship references by December 24. Hearing the accountability court’s petition seeking extension in the trial of both references, Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar ordered Khawaja Haris to complete the arguments by December 17. He also directed Accountability Court Judge Arshad Malik to write the judgment in four days. The CJP expressed his anger at Khawaja Haris, counsel for Nawaz Sharif, for not completing the arguments. He asked Khawaja Haris to complete arguments and relax himself as well the nation. Khawaja Haris said that all parties are trying the case with interest. “I am not a big lawyer. Has anyone complained that we are prolonging the case?” he questioned. He said that he would leave the arguments of the court wants so. The court has extended the deadline for 8th time to complete the trial.
