SC orders to develop parks after removing encroachments from state lands

KARACHI (92 News) – The Supreme Court on Wednesday ordered to develop parks after removing encroachments from state land.

Hearing cases at Karachi Registry, Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed also ordered the Board of Revenue (BoR) to computerized all record of lands within three months . He warned of strict action if the orders were not implemented.

He remarked that the Board of Revenue of is the most corrupt institutions. "The BOR allots someone's land to another one. Lands are being occupied for this reason," he added.

Moreover, the court ordered to demolish Nasla Tower, rejecting the review petition of the builder.

Hearing the case, Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed remarked that the petitioner should only show them the lease.

In the Gujjar Nullah case, he remarked that KMC has destroyed the city. He ordered to lay off 80 percent staff of the KMC for being idle.
