ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Supreme Court (SC) on Friday ordered to install RO plant within one month at Bhag Nari in Balochistan. A three-member bench of the SC headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar heard a suo moto case about non-availability of drinking water in Bhaag Nari. During the hearing, the video of water pound was played in the court room and the chief justice remarked that the water was taken from pound on the donkeys. He asked from the authorities, “Is the people provided this dirty water for drinking.” The SC has constituted a two member commission to finalize and submit a report on water scarcity in Balochistan within two weeks. The commission will be headed by President Supreme Court Bar Association Amanullah Kanrani and Engineer Usman Maimai will be its member. It is pertinent to mention here that the chief justice took a suo moto notice on the report of 92 News. 92 News highlighted the matter regarding non-availability of drinking water in Bhaag Nari on November 28. The report reveals that the residents are compelled to drink dirty water from the same pound where the animals drink. However, the chief justice took the notice on December 8 when 92 News aired the news report. The top judge fixed the case for hearing.  The people from Bhaag Nari thanked 92 News for highlighting their serious matter.
