ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Supreme Court of Pakistan has ordered Railway Minister Sheikh Rasheed to make the Karachi Circular Railway operational within three months. Hearing the railway deficit case on Wednesday, Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed remarked that the Business Plan had told each thing, but did not tell how it will be implemented. Minister for Planning Asad Umar told the court that it would be impossible to make the Karachi Circular Railway operational. The chief justice remarked that the project would be delayed if it did not happen. “You should deliver. The railway authorities should not let their people sleep and order them to do work,” he ordered. He remarked that all problems could be resolved if the railway sells its five properties. Later, the court adjourned the case for two months. Talking to the media after the hearing, Sheikh Raheed said that only one property could resolve all problems. He said that China would prepare ML-1 in two months.
