SC orders to remove barricades from outside govt, private buildings in Karachi

KARACHI (92 News) - The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Thursday ordered to remove barricades from outside government and private buildings, including Rangers Headquarters.

The court also ordered to remove the barricades from Governor's House and CM House, directing the authorities to submit a report within three days.

Hearing the petition, Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa remarked that it was illegal to close the passages and erect barricades. "The federal and provincial government itself is erecting encroachments," he added.

The CJP ordered the authorities to pay the compensation to the allottees after selling the land of Nasla Tower and submit a report on the market value.

The court also ordered to pay the amount to the affectees of Tejori Heights.
