SC orders to remove encroachments on greenbelts, welfare-reserved plots in Faisalabad

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Supreme Court on Wednesday ordered to remove encroachments on greenbelts and plots reserved for welfare projects in Faisalabad. Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Gulzar Ahmed directed commissioner to take action against those involved in this illegal activity and submit survey-report of the city. While hearing a case regarding leasing of government land in different cities of Punjab, the top court asked how petrol pumps were constructed on public and government lands. Commissioner Faisalabad told the court that the petrol pump in Faisalabad has been vacated and the order of the court will be fully implemented. He added that action will also be taken against all other encroachments on greenbelts in city.
