SC orders to stop by-elections in NA-154 Lodhran, suspends ET’s verdict

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Supreme Court has on Tuesday suspended the decision of Election Tribunal regarding holding of by-election in NA-154 Lodhran.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s Saddique Baloch had submitted a petition in the apex court against the Election Tribunal’s decision and his lifetime ban.
The decision was given by a three member bench of the apex court headed by Justice Saqib Nisar.
The top court suspended the verdict and stayed the by-elections scheduled for October 11.
Following the court’s verdict, Siddique Baloch's membership of the National Assembly has been restored.
