ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Supreme Court on Tuesday rejected another plea seeking postponement of the general elections.

During the hearing, Acting Chief Justice Sardar Tariq Masood remarked that a little bit stability is visible in the country after the release of date for the general elections. "Do you not want stability in the country? The release of the elections date is not a common issue," he observed.

Justice Mansoor Ali Shah remarked that the delimitations of the constituencies cannot be changed after the release of the election schedule. "The elections will be affected if the court started announcing verdicts on individual applications," he observed.

He remarked that the court will not disturb February 8 as the elections date. "There should be no delay in the elections."

Justice Athar Minallah remarked that the court will not allow anyone to delay  the elections.
