SC rejects govt plea for stopping Imran Khan's long march

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Supreme Court on Wednesday rejected the plea of the federal government to stop the long march being launched by PTI chairman Imran Khan.

In the contempt of court case, the court sought a reply from Imran Khan by October 31.

Hearing the case, Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial said that they are not issuing the contempt of court or show-cause notice. "We will look into the matter whether the contempt of court was done or not after receiving the reply from Imran Khan," he added.

Dissenting from the four judges, Justice Yahya Afridi issued the show-cause notice to PTI chairman Imran Khan.
