SC rejects petitions against Kulsoom Nawaz’s candidature

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) on Monday rejected the petitions against the acceptance of nomination papers of Kulsoom Nawaz, wife of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, for NA-120 by-election. Earlier, the apex court had accepted the petitions challenging the decision of the Lahore High Court (LHC) to dismiss applications filed against the candidature of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Kulsoom Nawaz for the NA-120 by-election in Lahore for hearing. The application was filed by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) candidate for the NA-120 by-poll Faisal Mir.
