SC remains centre for resolving political disputes, writes Justice Athar Minallah in dissenting note

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Justice Athar Minallah, in his dissenting note in the election delay case, wrote that the Supreme Court has become a centre for resolving political disputes.

He observed that it was decided in the informal meeting of the judges that judgement was 4-3 and the suo motu notice was rejected by 4-3. "I went through the judgement of Justice Mansoor Ali Shah and Justice Jamal Mandokhail and agree with their opinion," he added.

Justice Athar Minallah observed that he had neither recused from hearing the case nor existed any reason to separate himself from the bench. "The full court should have been formed to maintain the trust of the people," he remarked.
