ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Supreme Court (SC) on Wednesday reopened Nandipur Power case whose hearing is scheduled to be held tomorrow (on Thursday). The court issued notices to federal government, Pakistan Electric Power Company (PEPCO), Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) and all other parties. “Why you did not solved the problems during your tenure as federal minister. Why the contract was given to the Chinese company,” Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar asked former minister Khawaja Asif during the hearing. “You gave the contract of Nadipur project to a Chinese company but according to rules you cannot do this,” maintained the CJP. “The project has not been alloted on contract. Its ownership belongs to the government,” answered Asif.
