ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Tuesday reserved the verdict on the plea against the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

Hearing the case, Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial announced to pronounce the verdict of the case before his retirement. He remarked that a lot of work of the NAB had ended after the amendments.

"It is disappointing that the law now lacks concrete definition of crimes such as corruption of state assets, smuggling or illegal transfer of capital," he observed.

Justice Ejazul Ahsan remarked that pending inquiries had been shelved after the amendments. "Helplessness has been shown after freezing the cases of billions of rupees. It is not that Parliament can do whatever it wants," he observed.

Justice Mansoor remarked that it was not like that the accused could go home after their cases are over with the NAB.
