SC ruling on military courts is in clash with national security: Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) on Tuesday said that the ruling of the Supreme Court on the military courts was against the national security, saying that it will strengthen anti-Pakistan elements.

Reacting to the verdict, IPP spokesperson Firdous Ashiq Awan said that the government will have to deal with those working for foreign agenda with an iron hand.

She said that the May tragedy led by the PTI chairman was not less than a conspiracy against Pakistan. "The national interest cannot be put at stake to protect the PTI chairman from punishment. The attackers' trial in military courts can be more effective," she added.

Fayyaz Chohan said that hundreds of cases were tried in military courts. "During the PTI government, 29 civilians were tried in military courts.
