SC seeks details of Billion Tsunami Tree Project

Hearing the case, Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed remarked that how much expenditures were incurred, how many trees and where were they planted. He ordered to produce all proofs, including pictures.

He remarked that it was unbelievable to plant 10 billion saplings. "We have not seen a single tree planted in the campaign in Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar and Quetta," he observed.

The court also hinted at getting the court verification of the project. It summoned the Panning secretary and all four provincial secretaries Forest.

Moreover, the court ordered the Sindh government to plant trees along lakes and highways.
