ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Supreme Court of Pakistan has sought details of the pending corruption cases across the country. The court also summoned the federal law secretary, directing him to providing the details of the dysfunctional accountability courts. Hearing a bail plea of Allah Dino Bhaiyo on Wednesday, Justice Mashir Alam remarked that as per law, the NAB cases should be decided in 30 days. The counsel for the accused said that his client had never been a public office-holder. “He is the district president of the PPP and faces the corruption charges amounting to Rs22 million in the development projects,” he said. He contended that trial in the accountability court is facing a delay due to the NAB. Justice Mashir Alam remarked that the accountability courts should hear the cases daily. Rejecting the bail plea, he said that the order will benefit a lot of people.
