SC seeks report on encroachments in Bani Gala

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Supreme Court (SC) has summoned the surveyor general of Pakistan to appear personally and present a survey report over encroachments in Bani Gala. A three-member bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice Saqib Nisar heard the suo motu case pertaining to felling of trees and quarrying of hills. During the hearing, the chief justice remarked that incompetency and passiveness could not bear, saying that the surveyor general of Pakistan is not taking serious the apex court. The CJP ordered the surveyor to appear before the court and directed him to complete survey report regarding to determine the boundaries of Korang nullah at Bani Gala within six weeks. The hearing was later adjourned till tomorrow.
