LAHORE (92 News) - The Supreme Court on Sunday has sent the appeal against Lahore High Court’s (LHC) acquittal of the suspect in Khadija stabbing case to Justice Asif Saeed Khosa. A two-judge bench headed by the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar heard the case against the key suspect’s acquittal. During the hearing, the CJP expressed anger over resolution of high court bar against the SC. He asked that how the resolution was passed against the SC. “How you run campaign against the court?,” the CJP inquired the accused Shah Hussain’s father. “What would you do if a daughter of a lawyer faces the same happening?," he also asked. Moreover, the chief justice sent the matter to Justice Asif Saeed Khosa for probing. Earlier, Khadija Siddiqui had filed an appeal in the Supreme Court against the Lahore High Court (LHC) verdict of acquitting Shah Hussain, after giving him benefit of the doubt.
