SC to hear in-chamber appeal for withdrawing contempt of court plea against Qazi Faez Isa on July 31

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Supreme Court will hear the in-chamber appeal for withdrawing the contempt of court proceedings against CJP-designate Qazi Faez Isa on July 31.

Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial will hear the appeal. An in-chamber appeal was filed after objections were raised against the plea seeking contempt of court proceedings against Justice Qazi Faez Isa.

Hanif Rahi, a Lahore-based lawyer, had filed the petition for refusing to hear petitions against the trial of civilians in military courts. The SC had objected to the appeal and later the petitioner filed an in-chamber appeal.
