SC warns Musharraf to return Pakistan until 2pm today

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Supreme Court on Wednesday gave deadline to former president Pervez Musharraf till 2pm on June 14 to return to Pakistan. Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar, who is heading a three-judge bench hearing Musharraf's appeal against his 2013 disqualification by the Peshawar High Court, warned that if the former president does not show up in court by 2pm tomorrow, a decision would be taken in the case according to law. "Musharraf was assured he would get protection but we are not bound to issue a written assurance to him," said Chief Justice Nisar. "He (Musharraf) should come (to the court) if he is a commando," remarked the chief justice. "Why is he so afraid of returning to Pakistan," he asked.
