We have to resolve biggest problem – delay in justice: CJP Saqib Nisar

KARACHI (92 News) – Chief Justice of Pakistan Saqib Nisar has announced that the Supreme Court will open on Sundays. Addressing a meeting of the National Judicial Policy Making Committee on Saturday, he said that citizens faced problems due to closure of roads. “I am also a VVIP, but the road is not blocked for me,” he added. The CJP announced that they will protect the rights of citizens. He said that the delay in justice is the biggest problem, which has to be resolved. “A civil judge gets 2.4 minutes for a case. How is it possible to dispose of cases in so short period?” he said. The CJP said that the judiciary will have to do justice as per law. “It is parliament’s job to make laws,” he said.
