SC withdraws suo motu taken by Justice Qazi Faez Isa

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – A five-member bench of the Supreme Court on Thursday announced the suo motu procedure case and withdrew the suo motu taken by Justice Qazi Faez Isa.

The court also withdrew the verdict of the two-member bench announced on August 20. It observed that no bench is authorized to take the suo motu notice; however, the bench can recommend the chief justice to take the suo motu notice.

"Only the chief justice can used the power of the suo motu," it ruled.

The court also ordered to present the application of the chief justice before the Press Association.

The SC ruled that the chief justice will decide on the application of the chief justice.
