ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) has prepared a preliminary draft of the plea against the lifetime disqualification.

The application would be filed in the Supreme Court through the SCBA, while bar president Ahsan Bhoon will be the second petitioner.

In the plea, it will be requested that the lifetime disqualification law should be used in the electoral disputes. Under the powers delegated under the Article 184/3, the Supreme Court cannot work as a trial court.

Under this article, the accused does not get the right to appeal against the court verdict, which is against the principles of justice.

The plea will also demand the interpretation of the Article 184 and 99 and Federation will be made in the party. Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and Jahangir Tarin were disqualified for life by the Supreme Court.
