Schools remain close in Lahore today

LAHORE (92 News) – Punjab government has on Sunday announced that all government and private school will remain closed today (Monday) 21st of November on account of chehlum and Hazrat Data Ganj Baksh Urs. According to a notification issued by Executive District Officer (EDO) Education Tariq Rafiue, all public and private schools will remain close. The EDO education appealed the private school owners to comply with the notification, adding that the action will be taken if the private school management violates the orders. On the other hand, the district government has imposed section 144 in the city and also imposed ban on pillion riding. Chehlum of Imam Hussain is being observed today (Monday) with religious reverence.
