LAHORE (92 News) – As the negotiations between Punjab government and Private Schools Association are successful, the private schools owners have on Sunday announced to open the schools from Monday February 1 (tomorrow).

Provincial Education Minister Rana Mashhood chaired an important meeting with Private Schools Associations, in which provincial administration and police officials were also present.

Some associations had boycotted the meeting after the refusal of police to provide security, on which Distriction Coordination Officer (DCO) Lahore and school owners had exchanged hot words.

During the meeting, the government ensured the school owners that police will not take action against schools and the security arrangements will be reviewed in the presence of District Committee.

Private school owners made it clear that they agreed to open schools unconditionally, adding that the government is responsible to provide security and if the government failed to make necessary security arrangements, they will not open schools.

Provincial Education Minister Rana Mashhood expressed satisfaction over the security arrangements.
