ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Heavy fog has covered Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for the second day in a row. In most areas visibility is zero.

Motorway M-3 from Lahore to Rajana has been closed due to fog. From M-2 Lahore to Kot Momin, M-11 Lahore to Sialkot has been closed.

From M-4 Pindi Bhattian to Abdul Hakim and from M-5 Sher Shah to Rahimyar Khan and in many places till Sukkur had to be closed.

Visibility in Lahore also became very low. Ring Road also had to be closed for traffic. Heavy fog has also covered Faisalabad and its surroundings. Due to fog in Muridke, Narowal and Sheikhupura roads were also closed for heavy traffic. There is also heavy fog in Kasur and in its surrounding areas. The flow of traffic on the national highway around Renala Khurd is also affected.

Due to fog, Lahore Airport is also closed from 8 pm. Several international flights have been canceled and many are delayed. Due to heavy fog, several PIA flights were landed at Islamabad. Flight operation is also suspended at Faisalabad airport. Flights from Dubai, Sharjah, Bahrain and Abu Dhabi have also been delayed by more than nine hours.
