July 31, 2015
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – In view of uncertainty after the reports regarding the death of Mullah Omar and on the request of the Afghan Taliban leadership, the second round of the peace talks scheduled to be held in Pakistan on July 31 has been postponed. A spokesman for the Foreign Office said that Pakistan and other friendly countries of Afghanistan hope that the Taliban leadership will stay engaged in the talks for lasting peace in Afghanistan. He said it is further hoped that the forces that want to undermine the peace talks due to their malafide intent will not succeed in their designs.
