KARACHI (92 News) – Karachi’s New Year Eve is going to be greatly affected by ‘legal’ prohibitions under Section 144, which has been imposed at all routes, leading to Sea View and its surroundings in order to maintain law and order, and security in the metropolitan city. As per reports, the district administration has blocked the roads leading to Sea View through containers and strict checking has been carried out on the main highways and roads. A ban on aerial firing and swimming in the sea on New Year's eve has been placed to avoid any untoward incident. The Sindh government said that for the first time it will organise a fireworks show at the sea view. Meanwhile, the traffic police have prepared a comprehensive plan to avoid traffic congestion, particularly to facilitate residents of Clifton and Defense areas. A Sindh Rangers spokesperson said that the paramilitary has finalised security arrangements for New Year's eve tonight, under which it has increased the number of the patrolling team for snap checking. The spokesperson said that there will be a complete ban on aerial firing and display of weapons.  The Rangers warned of strict against against violators of law and order. Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah had earlier directed the divisional administration and police to keep the Sea View beach area open for public on New Year’s eve. Karachi Police Chief Dr Amir Ahmed Shaikh has issued strict directives to thousands of officers to maintain security at the metropolis port.
