Security arrangements enhanced around US, Iranian consulates in Karachi

KARACHI (92 News) – Sindh Home Ministry on Sunday has directed law enforcement agencies to enhance security of US and Iranian consulates in Karachi after assassination of Iran’s military commander Qasem Soleimani. According to the reports, police, Rangers and other departments have been sent a letter to ensure foolproof security around the consulates. On the other hand, Shia organisations are holding a rally in Karachi today against the killing of Qasem Soleimani. The protest will begin at the Karachi Press Club at 3pm and demonstrators will march to the US Consulate on Mai Kolachi. The rally has been organised by the Imamia Students Organisation, Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen, Imamia Organisation and Jafria Alliance Pakistan. Containers have been placed outside CM House but were not blocking the road as of 1:40pm.
