Security beefed up in Punjab after LeJ chief’s killing

LAHORE (92 News) – Security has been beefed up in Lahore and other cities of Punjab on Wednesday following the killing of banned sectarian outfit Lashkar-e-Jhangvi chief Malik Ishaq, his two sons and 11 other terrorists in a police shootout in Muzaffargarh. Frontier Corps personnel will be on high alert at different places including Police Lines Qila Gujjar Singh, Qurban Lines and Abbas Lines. The cities VVIP’s have been directed to limit their movement in the city, while the security of important politicians was beefed up and police personnel at the routs will be on high alert. The security of law-enforcement agencies offices has been beefed up, while unauthorised persons entrance has also been banned.
