Quetta (92 News) – Security forces have on Sunday gunned down at least 20 terrorists of a banned organization during a raid in Mastung’s mountainous area.

As per details, security forces carried out intelligence-based operations in Mastung’s Aspalinji, Marawah and Koh Kamran.

During the operations, some 20 Daesh terrorists were killed after intense gun-battles and the area was cleared. More than 10 security forces personnel including two officials were also injured during the operation.

They were shifted to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) for medical assistance.

Security forces also seized six suicide jackets, a cache of ammunition, explosives, detonators, solar panels and food rations, while the cave was a base used by Daesh to plan attacks across the country.

Earlier, the two Chinese workers were abducted last month in Quetta, the capital of Balochistan, raising safety concerns for Beijing's multi-billion-dollar investments in the country.

One Chinese woman managed to escape as the men began firing in the air to scare off onlookers. A passer-by, Muhammad Zahir, was shot as he tried to prevent the abduction.
