Security forces kill two terrorists in North Waziristan

RAWALPINDI (92 News) – The security forces conducted an operation in North Waziristan and killed two terrorists.

According to a statement of Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), on a tip-off regarding the presence of terrorists in Zangutai, an intelligence based operation (IBO) was conducted in Zangoti during which terrorists opened fire, injuring two security forces personnel including an officer. Security forces returned the fire due to which two terrorists were also killed.

The ISPR said the terrorists who have been killed in the operation were involved in improvised explosive device (IED) explosions and fire raids against the security forces.

Earlier, a soldier was martyred when terrorists opened fire on an army post Ghariom, North Waziristan District.

According to a press release issued by the ISPR, Pakistan Army troops responded in a befitting manner. During the exchange of fire, Naik Ghulam Mustafa, 37, of Muzaffarabad embraced martyrdom.

Sanitization of the area is being carried out to eliminate any terrorists in the area.
