Security forces seize huge cache of weapons from South Waziristan
PESHAWAR (92 News) – As a part of ongoing Operation Raddul Fasaad, security forces conducted Intelligence Based Operation (IBO) in the village Manra of Tehsil Birmal, South Waziristan District, said the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement.
According to the ISPR, a cache of weapons and ammunition were recovered from an abandoned terrorist hideout. The ISPR said that the recovered weapons include guns of various types and calibers, rocket launchers, heavy and light machine guns and ammunition.
Operation Raddul Fasaad was launched in February 2017, with the objective of eliminating terrorism across the country.
Security forces arrest terrorist in Peshawar
On Jan 22, a suspected terrorist was apprehended along with a suicide jacket by the Pakistan Army in Peshawar.
According to the Inter-Service Public Relation (ISPR), the forces conducted an intelligence based operation (IBO) as part of the ongoing operation Raddul Fassad in Tarnab Farm, Jhagra which is located 13km North East of Peshawar.
Security forces kill Orakzai suicide attack’s mastermind in Hangu
The security forces on Wednesday killed five terrorists during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) of Raddul Fasaad in Hangu town of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the terrorists, including the wanted and alleged mastermind of a deadly suicide attack in Orakzai in 2018, were killed during an exchange of fire with the security forces.
Earlier on Jan 11, Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan killed two terrorists during in intelligence-based operations (IBOs) at suspected hideouts of terrorists, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in his statement.
According to ISPR, the raids were conducted in Kalat, Kharan and Maiwand areas of Balochistan under the Operation Raddul Fassad.
Large quantity of arms and ammunition including sub-machine-guns, improvised explosive devices, grenades, mines, RPG-7 rockets and communication equipment were also recovered during the operations, the military’s media wing said in its statement.
