Security forces shoot dead a terrorist in Quetta; several arrested

QUETTA (92 News) – Security forces have on Monday gunned down a terrorist, while ten persons including eight Afghan nationals suspected of having links with banned outfits, were detained during a raid in the provincial capital’s different areas. According to Frontier Corps spokesman, intelligence agencies and FC carried out a joint intelligence-based operation in Lehri area when the terrorists hiding in the area opened firing, in retaliation, a terrorist was killed on the spot. The security forces have also recovered huge cache of weapons and explosive material including one SMG and two kilograms of explosive material. In another operation, ten people including eight Afghan nationals were apprehended in a raid conducted in Quetta’s Saryab Road, Khilji Colony and Chandni Chow. The investigation is being conducted from the arrested suspects.
