Sehwan: Ex-TMO Sajjawal, three officers of Municipal Authority sent on 14-day remand

KARACHI (92 News) - An accountability court sent four municipal officials of the Sehwan Tehsil on 14-day physical remand in National Accountability Bureau (NAB) custody on Friday.
As per reports, the detained officials Zahoor Shahani, Rehmat Memon and Idrees Memon and Sajjawal Mumtaz Zardari were presented before the court by NAB who requested the judge for the suspects remand for interrogation in the case of embezzlement of 100 million rupees of public money. "The arrested accused was allegedly involved in corruption worth Rs.100 million which he committed through withdrawal of illegal cheques and issued huge amounts to fake contractors/parties," said a press release issued by NAB Karachi.
The court remanded the suspects in NAB custody for 14 days.
Earlier, the culprits were arrested on corruption charges a day before during raid at TMO office.
