ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Pakistan Peoples’ Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said on Tuesday that the selected people cannot resolved the problems of masses. Addressing a ceremony in Islamabad, Bilawal Bhutto said that the mandate of public is being robbed in every election so in this way the condition of country can never be changed towards right. “Selected individuals only legislate in favour of selectors,” he added. The PPP chairman said when selected people became legislators; they passed laws that benefited the selectors. He said that when elected people became legislators, they passed laws which benefited the masses. “Labeling each other as thieves and robbers would not resolve problems,” he added. Bilawal also mentioned that as long as representatives of the people do not come to our assemblies, any legislation in favour of the public cannot be made. Bilawal lamented that basic and democratic rights of the people were being violated in the country. “We will have to struggle together to get the masses their due rights,” he added. “Everywhere basic rights and the freedom of expression are being attacked. We cannot make any compromise on human rights,” he maintained. “There is no chance of governor's rule being imposed in Sindh. If we don't listen to constructive criticism, how will we advance?” he asked. “If Asif Zardari was released from prison, he would be shifted to Karachi,” he added. A day earlier, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari accused the government for adopting double standards, saying that former premier Nawaz Sharif is in abroad despite being convicted but former president Asif Ali Zardari in jail only on base of allegations. Speaking to the journalists after meeting his father Zardari outside the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) on Monday, the PPP chairman said that the cases of Mian sb and Zardari are different, explaining that the difference is innocence until proven guilty and that Zardari is in jail without a conviction. Bilawal said they have selected Dr Nadeem Qamar as Zardari’s doctor as he is a heart specialist and the family knows him. “The government’s doctors pressing concern was heart-related and we had permission to get one doctor so we went with Dr Qamar,” he added. He mentioned that the PPP would not be silenced and won’t back down. “The public doesn’t want to watch a puppet show. The government is pressurising and burdening the public,” he said.
