'Selected' PM has proved Pakistan’s Gorbachev: Ahsan Iqbal

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal has said that the ‘selected’ prime minister has proved Gorbachev of Pakistan. Addressing a press conference on Wednesday, he warned PM Imran Khan not to intimidate them with arrests. “Please arrest all of us, but let the people live,” he said. The PML-N leader said that Khan Sahib orders the closure of the refrigerator of Nawaz Sharif when she sees the problems increasing. “We will not let anyone to usurp the basic freedom,” he said. Ahsan Iqbal announced to stage the protest across the country. “We will not compromise on the rule of the constitution,” he said. “Seventy-two years have been wasted by lagging the people behind.” He said that Imran Khan has neither experience nor capability. “Imran Khan made the speech like a leader of an NGO in the US. He should have become the representative of the Pakistan nation,” he said. The PML-N leader said that Shahid Khaqan Abbasi had saved billions of dollars, but he had been arrested for misusing his powers. He said that the government had become a threat to the Pakistani economy.

Ahsan Iqbal terms government a threat to economy

Addressing a press conference on Monday, PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal has termed the government a threat to the economy. He said that the country was defamed after publishing a fabricated story in a UK paper. “PM Imran Khan made a speech in the US like the leader of an NGO or the speech he made at D Chowk,” he said. The PML-N leader said that Imran Khan had been imposed on the country. “The government should think about the bread of the poor instead the TV of Nawaz Sharif in jail,” he said. He said that about 400,000 people have been left jobless after the agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and about one million people would go below the poverty line. “We will not allow anyone to usurp the basic rights of anyone. We will not compromise on supremacy of the constitution,” he said. Ahsan Iqbal said that the PML-N government had resolved the problems of the masses. “Former PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi overcame the gas shortage in four years and saved millions dollars of the national economy. He does not face the charge of financial misappropriation,” he said. The PML-N leader said that Shahid Khaqan Abbasi had installed the cheapest LNG plant and the project was the most transparent one.
