‘Selected’ PM wants presidential system, says Bilawal Bhutto
July 4, 2019
MOHMAND (92 News) – PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that the ‘selected’ prime minister wants to introduce presidential system in the country. Addressing a public meeting on Thursday, he said that the tsunami of inflation has drowned the masses. “What type of the change is it where to live and die are costly?” he questioned. He said that the government had increased the prices of all things, including electricity and gas. “The rights of the people are being trampled in the name of the change,” he maintained. The PPP chairman said that it was the budget of PTIMF, not Pakistan’s. “Here neither the people nor politics and journalism are independent. Whether it is the Election Commission or selection commission,” he questioned. He said that the ‘benami’ accounts of Jahangir Tareen are permissible, while the ‘benami’ accounts of Zardari’s friends are not permissible. “Nawaz Sharif’s offshore company is not permissible, but favourite’s offshore company is permissible. Lahore Metro Bus is not permissible, but Peshawar Metro is permissible,” he said. Bilawal Bhutto said that the rigged government got the budget approved through rigging. “It is the first time that the prime minister has not voted for the budget,” he said.
Ex-president, PM are in jail but terrorists are free: Bilawal Bhutto
Addressing a big public gathering on June 29, PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto said that former president Asif Zardari and former prime Nawaz Sharif are in jail, but terrorists are free. He said that the rulers are attacking democracy under the garb of democracy. “Earlier, they had attacked from outside, but now they are attacking from inside.” “Should we not term the prime minister having no power to induct or remove a minister as ‘selected’?” he questioned. The PPP chairman said that the rulers were demolishing the houses of the poor instead of protecting them. “What sort of independence is this if you can neither speak nor do politics of your will?” he questioned. He said that PM Imran Khan was selected on the recommendation of one or another throughout his life. “This ‘selected’ one has also worried the selectors,” he added.
